I've just browsed through Misshepeshu's LJ entries, and as usual, her site just impressed the hell out of me. I feel like I'm a brain-sucking parasite of the cheapest sort- sponging off her grey matters. In that 10 minutes of browsing, I've managed to pick up enough material to pass-off as an intellectual in my next 10 conversations! Of course, in that last 3 sentences, I've also managed to convince all readers that either 1) Misshepeshu is really really really smart, or 2) I'm just really really really dumb. And really really really, I prefer the first option.
My virtual persona is awful. I know nothing about creating pretty avatars and linking cool sites.

As for pretty avatars: I'll make a couple for you! I have loads more fucking-around time than you do :P . I also have the requisite software, all of it legally obtained, of course *clears throat wildly*. I just have to think of a few worthy pictures and appropriate text.
And if you want to learn how to link to cool sites, it's dead easy. Here's how you do it:
The HTML tag to create a link looks like this:
<a href="[insert URL here, including the http:// bit]">Witty text describing link here</a>
If this isn't clear, here's a basic HTML tutorial: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/
The nice thing about Livejournal is that if you provide the complete URL, including the http:// part, it automatically creates a link for you, as that link to the HTML tutorial demonstrates.
Anyway, your true personality is AWESOME, and I will kick anyone's ass who says any different--including yours if I have to :P .

Now, if you want to be completely intimidated by somebody's smarts, go check out his LJ. His articulacy and erudition terrify me. I live in fear of him finding a smarter chick and dumping me for her :P .

Hello!
Guess who's the idiot! I did not validate my email when I signed up for my LJ, which was a month ago? And the thingy expired, and I have to re-do the whole thing again. And I only found that out when I wanted to reply to your comment, and I can't. Told ya I'm totally incompetent when it comes to online stuff. Thanks for the offers! Once I can decide what I actually WANT to do, I'll let you know. ;)
Re: Jay. I'm very flattered that he wants to include me. Does he know me? Can I say Hi? Although I did think, it's part of both your plan isn't it? Reel me in and then blow me apart with Your Combined Brain Powers? I did check out his LJ, and I don't think you're any less articulate than he is! Shush with the Fear and Dumping talk. Trust me. There are no girls smarter than you are. :) Read my first LJ post, if you still doubt it (I made you my first entry!!).

Re: Hello!
Heh heh heh. Poor dear! Seems like you've sorted all of this out, though. Also, I have to get around to making some icons for you.And Jay has already added you to his friendslist, hee hee. He doesn't know you, but I talk about you quite frequently. You can certainly stop by his journal and add comments to anything that interests you--he'd probably be tickled pink.
You can add us on your friendslist too, by the way. On the dark blue bar up above, roll over "Manage," then click on "Friends," then click on "Edit Friends," and in the Add Friends section near the bottom of the page, just enter our LJ names (theotherjay and misshepeshu) and hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom.
This way, you can create entries that are friendslocked, which means only people who are on your friendslist can read them. I didn't use to do this much, until I remembered that my workplace keeps a proxy log of all the sites I visit, and I reckoned it'd be in my best interests to keep some of the stuff I chatter about on my LJ sort-of-private.
And thank you for your vote of confidence re: my articulacy. I consider it high praise indeed. I have a feeling your assessment may be colored by your partisanship, though--just a feeling :) .
